Therapy at The Psychology Studio of Evergreen is for anyone who:
- Is a parent navigating the unique joys & challenges of early childhood.
- Is seeking a deeper understanding of their neurotype (i.e., identity around the way one thinks, perceives, and understands the world).
- Wants support for anxiety, trauma, major life changes, or big emotions.
- Wants a space where neurodivergence is understood and celebrated, never "corrected" or "cured."
- Values a warm, holistic, and relational approach to healing.
- Is motivated to play, explore, and try new things in the service of learning and growing.
- Wants a collaborative partner in setting & working towards personally meaningful goals.
Therapy is always an individualized process, but often involves:
- A free, 15-minute phone call to determine whether The Psychology Studio of Evergreen is the right fit for your needs.
- Weekly (most common), bi-weekly, or twice-weekly 50-minute appointments with Dr. Kline.
- Monthly or as-needed caregiver-only appointments (or parent-and-child appointments) if you are a parent of a child or adolescent who is receiving individual therapy.
- The active participation of caregivers in most appointments if you are a parent of a young child (age 0-4).
- Collaboration with Dr. Kline regarding your needs, goals, and treatment approach.
- A lot of hard work, but ideally, also a lot of laughter, new ideas to explore, connections to build, and ways to play (yes, even for grown ups!).
Therapy can take place:
- Entirely virtually from the comfort of your home, if appropriate for your needs. (Please note, Dr. Kline is only licensed in the state of Colorado, therefore, you must be located in CO to receive virtual services.)
- Entirely in person at The Psychology Studio of Evergreen.
- With a mix of both virtual & in person sessions.
Getting started:
- Dr. Kline has immediate openings for children, teens, or adults seeking individual therapy or family therapy.
- The Psychology Studio of Evergreen is open Monday through Friday from 9am - 5pm.
Once you've gotten started, therapy most often takes place:
- On a weekly, bi-weekly, or twice-weekly frequency.
- On the same day and time each week (or at whatever frequency is determined).
- For 50 minutes each session (most common).
- For however long it takes to meet your treatment goals (both short-term and long-term therapy options are available, depending on your needs).
Therapy can be helpful for a variety of reasons, including:
- Providing a dedicated, judgement-free space to process emotions, life transitions, or daily stressors.
- Building a repertoire of practical skills for managing anxiety, sensory over-load, or intense emotions.
- Strengthening family relationships and disrupting intergenerational cycles of trauma.
- Helping neurodivergent individuals navigate a world that's not always built for them.
- Fostering a deeper self-understanding and increased self-compassion.
- Supporting parents in understanding their child's development and needs.
- Learning and growing through play, art, storytelling, or other forms of creative self-expression.
Therapy sessions cost:
- $200/hour (pro-rated in 15-minute increments for longer or shorter visits).
- Cash, check, HSA, and credit cards are accepted.
- The Psychology Studio of Evergreen is not able to accept insurance for therapy services at this time, though a superbill can be created after services are rendered and paid for each month if you wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement.
