The assessment process is individualized and collaborative.
Your evaluation will be based on your unique goals, needs, and questions.
At The Psychology Studio of Evergreen, we offer three kinds of evaluation packages for individuals ages 3 years and up.
exploratory evaluation package
The Exploratory Evaluation Package is a brief, non-diagnostic psychological assessment.
The Exploratory Evaluation Package is for anyone who:
- Is unsure of where to begin.
- Is seeking support for the first time (or for the first time in a long time).
- Is feeling stuck in their current therapy.
- Is not seeking a diagnosis, but wants some direction for therapy.
- Is curious whether a more comprehensive evaluation would be worth while.
- Wants to better understand themselves (or their child).
- Is seeking a low-pressure, collaborative space to explore their mental health.
- The Exploratory Evaluation is NOT appropriate for use in legal proceedings or formal school advocacy.
The Exploratory Evaluation Package includes:
- A free, 15-minute phone call to determine whether this is the right fit for your needs.
- Your first, hour-long session to start the conversation. (If you are seeking services for your child, this is typically a parent-only session.)
- Your second, hour-long session to dive deeper. (If you are seeking services for your child, this is typically a child-only or parent-and-child session.)
- Two different standardized, evidence-based questionnaires chosen specifically for your needs. (To be filled out by yourself and another trusted individual, or to be filled out by parent(s) and the child, if age-appropriate.)
- A written report detailing your results, what they mean, and Dr. Kline's recommendations.
- An hour-long feedback session to go over your results together.
The Exploratory Evaluation Package can be completed:
- Entirely in person at The Psychology Studio of Evergreen.
- Entirely virtually from the comfort of your home. (Please note, Dr. Kline is only licensed in the state of Colorado, therefore, you must be located in CO to receive virtual services.)
- With a mix of both virtual & in person sessions (e.g., parent-only session virtual, child-only session in person).
The Exploratory Evaluation Package can be done:
- Whenever you are ready! Dr. Kline has immediate openings for anyone seeking an Exploratory Evaluation.
The Exploratory Evaluation Package typically takes:
- About 1-3 weeks from start to finish, depending on scheduling availability.
The Exploratory Evaluation Package can help with the following:
- Better understanding your strengths and challenges.
- Establishing clear, evidence-based treatment goals.
- Screening for any potential mental health (e.g., anxiety, depression) or neurodevelopmental (e.g., ADHD, autism) conditions before committing to a full, comprehensive evaluation.
- Determining whether psychological services are the right clinical fit for you (as opposed to occupational therapy, speech therapy, massage therapy, etc.).
- Determining whether Dr. Kline is the right psychologist fit for you before establishing a more ongoing therapeutic relationship.
The Exploratory Evaluation Package costs:
- $900 (Flat Rate; $200/session + $300 for questionnaires & written report)
- The Psychology Studio of Evergreen is not able to accept insurance for the Exploratory Evaluation Package, though a superbill can be created after services are rendered and paid for if you wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement.
learning styles evaluation package
The Learning Styles Evaluation Package is a non-diagnostic assessment of an individual's cognitive ("IQ") and developmental or academic abilities.
The Learning Styles Evaluation Package is for anyone who:
- Is interested in understanding how they learn, not just what they know.
- Is wondering if they may be intellectually gifted.
- Needs testing for private school admissions applications.
- Is starting to fall behind academically in school.
- Has a child starting preschool or kindergarten soon, and wants to know about their early learning skills.
- Is going back to school as an adult, and wants tips for success.
The Learning Styles Evaluation Package includes:
- A free, 15-minute phone call to determine whether this is the right fit for your needs.
- An hour-long interview to discuss your learning goals, educational history, and strengths and challenges. (If you are seeking services for your child, this is typically a parent-and-child session, if age-appropriate.)
- Cognitive (also commonly known as "IQ") testing. (e.g., WPPSI-IV, WISC-V, or WAIS-V)
- Academic or developmental testing. (Dependent upon age; e.g., DAYC-2 or NEPSY-II for ages 3-5, WIAT-IV for ages 6+)
- A standardized, evidence-based questionnaire chosen specifically for your needs.
- A written report detailing your results, what they mean, and Dr. Kline's recommendations.
- An hour-long feedback session to go over your results together.
The Learning Styles Evaluation Package can be completed:
- Entirely in person at The Psychology Studio of Evergreen.
- With a mix of both virtual & in person sessions. (Cognitive & academic/developmental testing must be in person; interviews and feedback sessions may be virtual.)
The Learning Styles Evaluation Package can be done:

The Learning Styles Evaluation Package typically takes:
- About 2-3 weeks from start to finish, depending on scheduling availability.
The Learning Styles Evaluation Package can help with the following:
- Reducing academic frustration and building confidence.
- Identifying specific learning strategies, study skills, or ways to enhance your education.
- Screening for any potential learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia, dyscalculia) before committing to a full, comprehensive evaluation.
- Applications for school admissions or scholarships.
- Uncovering any barriers to learning and informing targeted educational interventions.
The Learning Styles Evaluation Package costs:
- $1,500 (Flat Rate)
- $750 if you ONLY need a single measure (e.g., WISC-V only) for school applications or scholarship programs (i.e., no questionnaire, either stand-alone cognitive or academic measure, & a shortened interview/feedback process).
- The Psychology Studio of Evergreen is not able to accept insurance for the Learning Styles Evaluation Package, though a superbill can be created after services are rendered and paid for if you wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement.
comprehensive evaluation package
The Comprehensive Evaluation Package is a diagnostic assessment of an individual's mental health and/or neurodevelopmental profile.
The Comprehensive Evaluation Package is for anyone who:
- Wants a thorough, highly-individualized assessment & path forward.
- Is wondering if they may have ADHD, autism, or a learning disability (i.e., neurodevelopmental focus).
- Is wondering if they may have anxiety, depression, OCD, or other conditions (i.e., mental health focus).
- Is a parent who wants to truly understand & advocate for their child's needs.
- Wants to transform their personal, academic, or professional frustration into self-compassion.
- Wants a "no-stone-unturned" approach to their mental health.
All Comprehensive Evaluations include:
- A free, 15-minute phone call to determine whether this is the right fit for your needs.
- An hour-long initial interview to discuss your goals & collaborate on an evaluation plan that meets your needs.
- Interviews and/or questionnaires from teachers, therapists, significant others, parents, or other professionals involved in your care.
- Multiple testing sessions, which may include cognitive ("IQ"), academic, neurodevelopmental (e.g., ADHD or autism-specific testing), and/or social-emotional testing and questionnaires.
- A written report detailing your results, what they mean, and Dr. Kline's recommendations.
- An hour-long feedback session to go over your results together.
A Comprehensive Evaluation may also include the following optional/as needed elements:
- A classroom observation of your child (prior to meeting Dr. Kline for testing).
- A personalized, illustrated book for your child to explain their diagnosis in a developmentally-appropriate way.
- An extended feedback session to answer any additional questions or concerns you may have.
- A follow-up appointment at 6 months and/or 1 year.
The Comprehensive Evaluation Package can be completed:
- Entirely in person at The Psychology Studio of Evergreen.
- With a mix of both virtual & in person sessions. (Most testing must be in person; interviews and feedback sessions may be virtual.)
The Comprehensive Evaluation Package can be done:
- Whenever you are ready! Dr. Kline has immediate openings for anyone seeking a Comprehensive Evaluation.
The Comprehensive Evaluation Package typically takes:
- About 1-2 months from start to finish, depending on scheduling availability.
The Comprehensive Evaluation Package can help with the following:
- Providing diagnostic clarity and untangling over-lapping symptoms.
- Identifying personal strengths and meaningful goals.
- Demystifying lifelong patterns of frustration or difficulty.
- Early identification and intervention for developmental delays, learning disabilities, and emotional problems.
- Knowing how to advocate for educational accommodations and interventions.
- Providing community resources and a path forward in terms of treatment recommendations.
The Comprehensive Evaluation Package costs:
- $2,000 - $5,000 (max)
- A Comprehensive Evaluation is a significant investment of both time and money. The total cost is dependent upon the complexity of your referral questions and the amount of time required to answer them.
- During or shortly after the initial interview, you will be provided with a good faith estimate for the total cost of the evaluation. If you choose not to continue with an evaluation, you will only be billed for the time of the intake.
- Individualized payment plans are available.
- If you recently completed either an Exploratory or Learning Styles Evaluation Package, the total cost for your Comprehensive Evaluation may be lower, depending on which measures & procedures have already been done.
- The Psychology Studio of Evergreen is not able to accept insurance for the Comprehensive Evaluation Package, though a superbill can be created after services are rendered and paid for if you wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement.
